At a young age, Janek’s elementary teacher noticed he had an eye for taking pictures. That initial interest developed into a true passion that has been cultivated through the support of his local community and the Shutterbugs photography club at the Semiahmoo House Society. His natural talent for seeing angles, colours and shades has lead him to see success by acting as an official photographer at weddings, golf tournaments and fundraisers. Today Janek’s work captures breathtaking images of landscapes, flowers, antique cars and friends.
Janek sharpens his photography skills through his studies. For a long time, he has seen success in his academic ventures. While studying at the Down Syndrome Research Foundation in Burnaby, he was awarded the George Klukas award for his achievements. Today, he continues his studies at the Kwantlen Polytechnic University in a Learning Communities program.
Outside of his studies and photography, Janek is a thoughtful, friendly and outgoing young man. He enjoys living and regularly admits “My life is good”. He recently moved out of his parent’s home to a community living apartment complex in Surrey BC.
